Origin Story

Bonny: Scottish English for pleasing; agreeable; good.

‘Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.’ -Ralph Waldo Emerson.

In 2020, Sophie and Andy began rethinking their approach to skincare — not just what worked, but why it worked. They dove into the science behind ingredients, uncovering how plant-based compounds could deliver clinically effective results without relying on harsh synthetics. The more they learned, the clearer it became: nature offers powerful, evidence-backed alternatives that support both skin health and sustainability.

But navigating the world of clean beauty revealed a major gap. Truly natural, vegan, cruelty-free products in sustainable packaging were hard to find in one place. The process felt fragmented and inconsistent — and that’s what sparked the idea for bonnyLeaf: a science-informed, values-driven destination for conscious skincare.

They set out to create a trusted space where conscious skincare shoppers could find only products that met bonnyLeaf’s strict 4-part sustainability promise:

☑ Plant-powered
Harnessing the potency of botanicals, leaving harsh chemicals behind.

☑ Vegan & cruelty-free
Because compassion is always beautiful.

☑ Eco-conscious
From ingredients to packaging, we tread lightly on the earth.

☑ Transparent
No hidden nasties, just good-for-you ingredients with clear labelling.

bonnyLeaf was founded with a clear purpose: to inspire meaningful change by empowering you to make conscious, sustainable choices — for your skin and the planet. It began with a thoughtfully formulated skincare line, rooted in efficacy, transparency, and integrity.

The vision continues to grow: to build bonnyLeaf into a trusted destination for clean, ethical beauty — a curated space where every brand aligns with your values. Because radiant skin should never come at the Earth’s expense — and with bonnyLeaf, it never will.
